Ive fished coppice three times this summer for the skimmers and roach but all the skimmers seem to be gone and I can only catch very small roach now. Up untill this year we were catching good bag of roach and skimmers on the pole, cup in some micro pellets and fish sotf hooker over the top and you would catch skimmers all day but not now and fish the caster for the roach 6-8oz fish but all the roach now seem to be 1-2oz fish has any one esle noticed this

Hi ferret, your post seems to echo mine of a couple of weeks ago except I was getting tiny perch nearly all day, hardly ever saw a perch at one time. The catch has changed there I'm sure.
Maybe something to do with when the BAA took fish from a pool near B'ham airport a couple of years ago and put in there but they never said what to my knowledge, apart from a couple of barbel and the odd tench. It's not the place it was when they bought the place that's for sure, used to go a couple of times a week but rarely go now even though it's not far away. A shame because it's not a bad lake.
