yes i have seen carp in the margins a few times i have also seen a small cat fish down by haw bridge in the sluice but sadly it was dead that was only 2 weeks ago so they are definitely around the area there are a few match anglers who ive spoke to and regularly accidentally hook carp so there must be a good number along that stretch i live in tirley myself so it is ideal for me being next to the river
will be giving it a good go not only for the carp for anything that swims my way as it is a mystery of what is in those parts as nobody talks about their catches so its been hard trying to get info around there.
i walk my dog down there every day hoping to see some signs and this morning was the first proper indication they are around just a shame have to wait another 4 weeks until i can get my rods out!
