Never know what to expect here, went first day of the season and had a couple of eels and a perch, apart from that not a bite. Went again this Monday and had a mixed bag of perch, chub, roach and the inevitable couple of eels, not a great weight in total but not a bad day. Loads of bites to the point of frustration in not hooking them, nearly all taken on worms. Also one bite on a second rod with halibut pellet, probably a barbel, a right wrap round of a take, went like a train and escaped.

Also went to Wood Norton on Thursday, small perch, a couple of small roach and a bream around 4lb. Again not too bad a day. That's what rivers are all about, you never know what might happen. I love it. I fish Fladbury fairly often and it seems a sort of all or nothing place.
