There will be minimal weed if any this time of year. If there are only a few of you miss out the first few pegs. They are shallower and most probably clearer than a bit further down. A pole at 10 to 11 meters would be a good line it will be about 6 feet deep. Usual baits red maggots, caster, red squats and worms would be my choice. 4 balls of ground bait with caster and squat at the beginning of the match then drip feed maggots little and often, don't be scared to fish off the bottom. You will catch Rudd and Perch and hopefully the bream & Tench will move in. Luckily this lake does show a lot of fizzes when bigger fish move in. If you have 2 rigs set up now is the time to use it with worm or corn brace yourself for ells though.
No matter what you catch this lake is stunning with an abundance of bird life.
