Hi can anyone give me any information on fishing Nafford weir ?

Re: NaffordI first fished there for the first time about 18 months ago, well below the weir, just where the river parts. Got talking to the bailiff and he told me there's some huge barbel - over 12lb. He said there's no particular hot pegs - that it's worth dropping in a few swims until you find them. He also said it's not worth fishing too close the the weir as it's very snaggy.

Re: NaffordHi Steve, I've never seen more than a couple of other people fishing there. Although the 3 times I've been have been either late Autumn or March just before end of season. So I don't know what it's like in the height of Summer - if you could call this a Summer that is. I don't think it's a venue that is likely to be packed, although I think it's relatively popular with predator anglers.

Re: NaffordFished till dark at Nafford yesterday. Nice Bream and lots of hybrids but no Barbel. Lovely bit of river though!
