Re: River Anker BolehallHow did you get on at Bolehill? I have looked at fishing there but no idea what it is like.

Re: River Anker BolehallBasic description is It's pretty much the width of a canal and has plenty of tree/bushes but not many shallows, waders wont help much unless you want to cook in them, the path was quite narrow and lots of nettles were being strimmed the day I went there. I had a nice chub just under 4lb and lots of small roach and perch trotting maggot. There was plenty of others there on the lead, the barbel are thin on the ground but do go to a good size.

Re: River Anker BolehallOut of interest, what's the flow like? Would 1oz feeders be too light?

Re: River Anker BolehallNice stretch, devoid of path traffic. We were there yesterday luring for pike my son caught a jack. Over the past few years we have had some good days fishing for pike.

Re: River Anker BolehallSounds promising, i was thinking of either fishing maggot feeder inline or a heli rig, but just unsure if 1oz is enough to pin down. As i haven't actually been to look at the river.
