Anyone thinking of fishing the B'ham / Worcs. canal at Shernal Green [Bridge 31]. If you approach from the Droitwich / Feckenham road and turn at the Himbleton - Crowe junction, signs say road closed. However, you can still get to the Shernal turn, { at least you could today }. I did a U-turn and a detour only to find on my way home I could have gone straight there. Why the hell could they not have had a sign saying access to Shernal open.

Also if you access the canal from bridge 31 and turn right along the towpath there are extensive works to the bank which is cordoned off, and will be for a time buy the look of it, I think probably to bridge 32, its a fair walk to find a peg if you turn left as well due to extensive reed growth, but that's what I did and had a few fish in the end.
