Thought i'd give the Harbour Inn at Arley a try this afternoon.

The gate to the field is locked as there are now sheep in it, so can't drive into the field and along bank at present.

As for the fishing had a barbel around 41/2 - 5lb at 1.30, two roach and a dace on 6mm pellet.

Re: Gate Closed at Harbour Inn

where are you expected to park there these days then?
this seems to be happening more and more...probably my last season with the baa as feeling swims are being ruined and others parking seems to be impossible or too far for some of us.

You can still use the car park at harbour waters just not drive across the field. It will only be temporary until the farmer has moved the sheep out of the field.
To be honest I think the baa has more venues than ever on the rivers where you can park behind most pegs.

Re: Gate Closed at Harbour Inn

I was there in the evening same day. As you say the gate to the field was closed to keep the sheep in.

It was a bit pointless because the sheep were getting into the car park under the bottom rail of the stile. There were 3 sheep in the car park when I arrived. I did my sheep dog impersonation and rounded them up and as I did so they shot back under the stile into the field.

Not much I could do to stop them getting out again but I thought I'd done my best.
