What I find odd about this well known barbel. That has been caught many times in the past that it has even been caught and weighed at some time in the past at 18 lb.

The present record is 16lb 11 ozs why no one has put in a claim for the Severn record, When this 18 lb fish would easily break the present record.
Perhaps because knowing what a easy fish it is to catch and how many times its been caught in the past. The record could keep changing from one day to the next. Lets see if it turns out to be another '' Red Spot''
