Overgrown pegs i find are not so much of an issue for me, i carry lightweight secateurs and attachable blade that screws onto a bank stick or landing net handle and do my own clearing. I guess this helps the next chap who comes along and uses the same peg also. Sometimes you just gotta do your own bit chaps that also helps others.
