In terms of "other options" I was thinking of either a more formal arrangement with the pub or even approaching the owners of the car park behind the sports centre for some sort of arrangement such as an annual fee from BAA which would allow BAA members to park for free on condition of displaying their BAA sticker. Bit like the right bank at Arley near the Harbour Inn ? I daresay when they eventually get round to demolishing the old sports centre we would not be safe to park there anyway.

Either way I will take your advice and use the Beams - let's face it what better way to finish a fishing session on a cold winter afternoon than with a pint and a bite to eat ?!
