at Wasperton on the BAA and LAA stretch these days,even the dog walkers have all but dissapeared. Could this be why,on five out of my last six visits to the river I have seen an Otter in broad daylight? On one occasion it tried to catch a Moorhen feeding in the far bank lillies by coming up from beneath it before pursuing a Carp that escaped by leaping from the water several times as it fled through said far bank lillies. Bites on big baits,luncheon meat or lobworms,were very hard to come by,on the last three visits didn't get a twitch, even fishing just into dark.
