21/06/16 I didn't weight this fish, but estimated (conservatively) that it was well over 5lb. Bait was hair rigged meat with ground bait feeder. Also had half a dozen bream, one on meat, the others on corn. First time I've fished Uckinghall in over 30 years - hopefully get another visit in soon.

Re: Uckinghall TenchThanks mate, the bream weren't anything special, the best I reckon was just under 4lb. The tench in the picture went off like a train, thought it was a carp at first. Hooked another tench but lost it in a snag, although it wasn't as big as this one. I wanted to fish Mythe but there was a contest booked, so pretty happy to have a good day at Uckinghall, especially as the forecast was for rain all day. In the end it didn't rain properly until around 4pm. And nearly forgot to say, didn't really get any liners, few twitches towards the end of the day when bites generally seemed to have dried up.
