Cheers for that Jon! I will give the pellet a go.I was 'tumbling,' with meat for a fair while,casting upstream on a freelined hook with lead wire wrapped around the hook,just enough weight to stay down and flow along in the current,to give a natural impression.All about the local river knowledge obviously!

The two foreign blokes fishing down on the pebble beach didnt even laugh when i fell down on my ass in the mud.Oh well at least they probably went hungry that night.
Where,"near Worcester," has that fella on the front page photos,caught that brace of fish? As B.A.A.
dont have any River Teme waters nearer to worcester than Bransford do they?Powick is owned by Worcester and St Johns A. A.s.

Hi,I'm a new member of the B.A.A,and I'm only just getting back into my fishing after 25 years or so,now the kids have grown up.
I remember back in the day when you could pull some monster barbel from the Teme,so after joining the B.A.A. I looked forward to fishing the river again,however a couple of weeks ago I fished all day at Cotheridge and caught nothing,and today after fishing 5 hours at Bransford,on several pegs, using meat and sweetcorn,I stuck a worm I found on my hook and landed a reasonably sized perch.Other than that zilch-You can't see any fish from the bank top either,though when i went for a walk to the old Powick bridge on Friday,Lower down the Teme but in St Johns/Worcester waters,there's a large number of large chub and or barbel visible.
Is it just me and my forgotten skills,or are there other members with similar experiencies on the Teme?
