Yesterday, we decided to fish the River Mease as we live in north Birmingham it was only around 40 minutes away, and my son had to be home for his daughter returning from school.
We set off in the search of the Mease, search being the right word to use! We found the bridge at Netherseal but there appeared to be no access on to the river, also the parking as shown was restricted to one car! We didn’t bother with the other access point.
By now we we were losing the will to live, even so we went to Harlaston found the BAA stretch, but it was so overgrown it was unfishable! We spoke to a local angler, he said you are wasting your time trying to fish.
The BAA website says these venues are left wild, I wonder how is this decision made?
Has anyone else tried to fish the Mease?
Why the BAA keeps these venues is beyond me!
