Quatford access

The path down the steep hill by the main entrance to the caravan park at Quatford is impassable once again, from about halfway to the river the trees are badly overgrown. The first meadow is also badly overgrown, not much the Association can do about this though as a machine would be needed but they definitely need to get down there and sort the main access path before the season starts.

Quatford access or lack of it!!!

Any one thinking of going to Quatford make sure you pack a brush cutter. The path from the caravan park barrier to the river is badly overgrown, the first
meadow path is no better either, the grass must be a good two foot long. Spoke to BAA who don't really have anybody to send to chop the path back other than the working party of volunteers (fair play to the volunteers). The field is normally cut by the farmer I assume. Anybody trying to get a trolley down there has no chance in the first meadow so that's the match boys out and my 74 year old Dad who has fished down there for years. BAA suggested Shropshire CC as it may be a public footpath, unfortunately they were not interested and said ask the caravan park owner. I then spoke with the park owner who said it was the responsibility of the BAA, round and round we go.
