Re: Canal and River Trust directive on canals

Surely the BAA should close all their waters. Government advice is to stay at home unless your journey is essential. There used to be a 3 months close season on all waters and we managed to cope with it. Going fishing is not a matter of life and death, but coronavirus certainly is.

Re: Danery

Hello Terry49. I have not fished the top end of the Danery for many years so cannot help with where the boundary ends.

Re: Danery

The Danery is BAA. The top field which used to be BAA has been private for a few years.

Re: Photo of Severn Stoke 15lb barbel

He was just bringing the fish up the bank when two of our lads walked by and one of them photographed it. He asked them how big it was and they both agreed it was about 11lbs. It was not weighed as he had no scales, weigh sling or unhooking mat and his landing net was totally unsuitable for barbel.

Re: Photo of Severn Stoke 15lb barbel

I have since found out that the fish was caught on the Saturday of our fish in by the horse troughs in the field above the car park and was witnessed by one of our members who put it at around 11 pounds.
