Otters at Nordley Posted below is a message received from BAA member Graham Sheldon. Visited the Nordley pools, Thursday 14th February 2019…..caught a mirror carp that had bite marks all over the fish, and half his back tail missing. Further bad news,... late on in the afternoon I spotted two Otters. I realise there is not much we can do about it,….the Nordley complex of six pools is impossible to keep safe, and secure. Sadly I think we are going to lose a lot of fish. Would it be possible to inform the members of the problem, and ask them to keep you up to date about sightings of Otters and damage to fish caught. I hope this info will be of use, and I will keep my fingers crossed that there is no more damage to the fish stock. Otters at Nordley

Posted below is a message received from BAA member Graham Sheldon.

Visited the Nordley pools, Thursday 14th February 2019…..caught a mirror carp that had bite marks all over the fish, and half his back tail missing.

Further bad news,... late on in the afternoon I spotted two Otters.

I realise there is not much we can do about it,….the Nordley complex of six pools is impossible to keep safe, and secure.

Sadly I think we are going to lose a lot of fish.

Would it be possible to inform the members of the problem, and ask them to keep you up to date about sightings of Otters and damage to fish caught.

I hope this info will be of use, and I will keep my fingers crossed that there is no more damage to the fish stock.

Hi Yorkie.
Thanks for letting us know abut the Northwood Lane padlock. Colin from the Fisheries Team has replaced the lock and chain.
