Aberbechan - game fishing tips

Going to make the long trek to try this stretch of the Severn this weekend for the first time and looking for tips on fishing for salmon and brownies on the fly. The chance of salmon seems slim, considering the water levels, but what flies are favourite?
More likely I'll end up fishing for the brownies and grayling. Any particular patterns of dry fly or nymphs? Some nice fish on the gallery so someone knows how to fish it.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Aberbechan - game fishing tips

Well no tips - but did the trek out to Aberbechan yesterday - nice river with some lovely pools. No salmon showing as expected with low water but practiced my spey casting - still room for improvement but getting there - did some dry fly fishing and had a few takes but no fish. So finished up fishing czech style nymphing, which produced two brownies - one was a reasonable size and fought really well on a light fly rod.
Mike and Anne are doing a great job of bailiffing this stretch - friendly and helpful. I'll be back
