weve got a match at arley tomorrow 16/10/ 2022...

Despite putting two signs up on the car park the night before stating there was a match booked we still had to move 4 on and had one start setting up in the next peg who I had to go and tell to move somewhere else.This was about a month ago but I bet you will still get some.I don’t know why people don’t have a quick look in here or even ring the office to check first if there’s a match on the venue they want to fish.It’s either ignorance or stupidity maybe a mix of both.Add to that the 2 dozen canoes you will probably get down.Which can kill your peg if it’s a shallow one and they don’t know what they’re doing.

Just carry your match permit with you and nobody can argue then when you move them on

We always have our permit .. 2 of our club members work for the B.A.A...
and talking about paddle boarders....we fished a match at Eckington a few weeks back and i counted 16 paddle boards in the first 1 hour 5 boats on one sort or another, the a bloke turned up opposite me with a ladder which i thought was a bit odd on the avon , but soon became apparent when himself his wife and 3 kids all bombed in , straight on my pole line,, followed by 7 of there friends 2 of which had the full flippers goggles and air tanks on ...they 2 pissed off upstream passed the rest of our club. well 2 hours later the ladder came into play, they used it to clime out the water ...lol.....im a true believer in each to their own , if you want to swim in the filthy avon or paddle board up it the crack on , it not for me to judge.....but you would think that a little bit of common curtesy would come into play...just go up or down stream a bit ... oh well i suppose you cannot teach ignorance
