Hello, just wondering if anyone here fishes it, i had a go on the stretch near Bodymoor Heath the other day but had no luck. I'm just wondering what can be caught there, i'm mainly after perch on drop shot/ small lures.

Fished the Stretch behind Kingsbury water park a few times in the summer just behind the camp site. It was excellent Bream, Skimmers & Roach the only thing that were a problem and made the fishing more difficult were the boats making the water tow back and forth. I would target the Bream/Skimmers in a match as there does seem to be a good few in this section.

Good evening, I bailiff this section of canal and have caught everything from large Carp, plenty of good sized Perch and Roach. I normally fish behind the hotel and I always use medium to large worms. if you fish maggot or casters you will catch small fish. I have also spin fished with a small mepp and caught plenty of small Pike. Tight lines.

Don't know about that stretch but I've had consistent sport for perch on micro-lures by the Boars Head pub on the A453. The big pound below it also used to have a few good pike.

Worm and caster for the bream and chub, used to be some decent Zander there until the C&RT electrofished the stretch, also had a big eel whilst lure fishing down there, a real shock that one.
