I have crossed the river a couple of times from the right bank (Leigh & Ox Bow Lake). If you look on the Leigh map it`s where the lake is shown as joining the river. From the Cotheridge car park it` s downstream at the end of the straight high bank where the river turns left. The deep side switches from left to right and by wading diagonally you could cross. This is quite a few years back and the river may have altered.
