OLC - which side of Bidford was the problem please?
I had it in mind to fish the right bank. The one with the weir, and if I remember correctly, many years ago the end downstream peg used to produce bags of barbel and chub.
However if this side of Bidford is completely overgrown, I think I'll give it a miss. Especially if the farmer has electrified the pegs (whatever that means).
If it's the left bank I would be amazed if the pegs were electrified, as surely the bankside along that stretch is common right of way. Please correct me if I am wrong, but it has been used as a pathway for at least 45 years that I know of.
Anyway. as it seems Bidford is a no go, I think I might give Evesham (Common Road) a try. Providing this old brain of mine can figure out how to open the gate - lol.
Any info on Common Road access would be appreciated by anyone.
