Evening All,

Looking for any information on Mythe Pool, I've searched the forum and seen the otter issue last yr.

Has anyone fished/spent time there since? How did it fish prior to?

Any info would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Barney

Re: Mythe Pool

Always do well @ Mythe my favourite Baa water, took me a good few attempts to crack. Always fishes very hard this time of year but 60, 70, 80lb of Bream were common place last year (not sure how our friend the otter) has been getting on but will find out in spring.

Re: Mythe Pool

Thanks for the info; I intend on spending a couple of seasons targeting the carp down there.

Just wanted to confirm it still held a head of fish.

If anyone else has any info please do post away.

Re: Mythe Pool

From a carp fishing perspective, the trouble with both Mythe and Uckinghall is that they are right by the river, so every time the Severn floods it inundates both pools and fish can freely transfer between them and the river. This makes it impossible to stock them.

There is a small head of resident carp in both (I've seen - and hooked (and lost) - good fish in Uckinghall while fishing for other species) but you can never guarantee from one flood to the next that they are still there.
