Re: Re: River seven

Hi, its been a while since I fished at Blackstone, the first 2 pegs passed the rocks are no fishing, I believe they are salmon waters and are private, but through my experience the pegs opposite the so called " island peg" on the KDA water are the best in my opinion, I can only remember by sight, but its only a matter of 20yrds down, someone correct me if i'm wrong. There is a gravel bed which goes almost 3 parts over then drops into a gully, Plenty of Barbel n Chub in there.

Re: Re: River seven

I was night fishing the other day and caught 3 barbel and 4 chub. I was a little bit surprised that, in this day of modern technology, you still have to wait to receive your permit(s) by post. Surely there must be a system whereby BAA can email, text or fax you your permit?

It's a joke when you gotta wait for your night fishing permit.I recone you shouldn't need a night fishing permit cos we are paying enough as it is

As you say, emails and texts are used by the vast majority of businesses these days. I think if the powers that be wanted to sort this out they easily could. Maybe the BAA don't want anyone fishing at night and are making it as difficult as possible for anyone to do so?

I think you mean Northwood Lane, and it is BAA left bank downstream. The bridge structure is a good feature for Barbel and I have had them near double figure there. Down from the bridge is shallow, and upstream is deeper and conventional feeder pegs.
