For me I think as I suggested a good few years ago now,
and the BAA did can we send a questionnaire out with ever membership, asking,

What venues do you fish?
What species people are fishing for?
what type of fishing do you enjoy?
What do you want from a venue?
How many times a year do you go fishing?
What type of venue would you like the BAA to acquire next?
How far are you willing to travel if the venue fits your criteria?
etc,etc,etc

The questions can keep going.

I always wanted to fish the Wye and I remember a good few years back now asking a lovely guy on the Baa stand at Evesham why don't we have a venue on the Wye? Can we get a venue on the Wye? To which he answered no point people will not travel its to far.

Well it seems to me that the stretch we now have on the Wye is a very popular stretch and people will travel if a venue fits your requirements.

If you don't understand the needs of your members how can a club grow and move forward?

And if people can't be bothered to get involved and return a questionnaire then they should not moan about future decisions on venues If the club lets them go.

Just my thoughts anyway guys

All the best Dave
