Obviously I've looked at the website but has anybody seen the rivers first hand in the last day or two? How are they looking? Is anybody going to try their hand tomorrow?

Re: River Levels

Hi Pete - intended to go early tomorrow but having checked website and seen river at Bridgnorth, think it best to delay a day or two. 4 feet of water on normal summer level and rising, not a good colour - pretty crap conditions all things considered. Weather forecast not good tomorrow either. Let us know how you get on if you venture out.

Regards - Mick

Re: River Levels

I have had this day booked off for months so I am going to have to give it a whirl somewhere......not confident though. Think I'll be heading for the deeper water somewhere in the hope it can handle it a bit more. Supposed to be fishing the Trent on Sunday but I'll probably be able to do that from my front room at this rate sad

Re: River Levels

Came over the Avon at Evesham yesterday [ Parks Farm ] and it was looking ok. Looked at Bidford on the Farsons Digital Web Cam site today [ real time video ] again the Avon, it was up but ok,certainly fishable, not bad at all really. It can of course rise quickly. Will probably do Marlcliffe or Fladbury over the next 3 days, it's wide and fairly deep so should take the water and the rain is decreasing over the next few days. Just glad to get back on a river......The Farsons site is very useful, having a number of cameras at various points on the Severn and Avon among others, I use it a lot if rivers are likely to be very high, saves a wasted journey.

Still looking ok on the cameras but there is an awful lot of rain around sad
Weather warning in force today and tomorrow so it could be useless by Sunday which is when I can go. Fingers crossed its still fishable or its off to a still water again....
