Have had a couple of evenings but slim pickings so far. Anyone having much sport here?

What you after Tim? Ive never done much good there when ive turned up and fished think its one of those venues if your after the big barbel your going to have to put the hours in.

Done a couple sessions. Trotted maggots and caught a handful of dace. Chatted to a bailiff and fished cubes of meat with a 3oz cage feeder filled with krill soaked pellet and hemp, couple of rod lengths out. Lost a small bream at the net and loads of knocks from small fish. Going to try further out for bream I think and maybe some more barbel sessions.

few years back a couple of guys used to fish it 3/4 times a week half way along the stretch they would turn up about 3 o clock and fish till last light. Similar tactics 3/4 rod lengths out fishing big feeders or bait droppers and straight lead. they did some massive weights of bream with a few barbel frown in to boot but they were putting a lot of effort and bait in to draw the fish into the area.
