Re: Trout Water

They are present in reasonable numbers on the Severn above Bewdley - the trick is finding them.

Re: Trout Water

Guessing the further you go upstream on the Severn the more trout and grayling, a bit closer option is perhaps the teme around eastham/Lindridge and erdiston all have got shallow bits.

Re: Trout Water

Doesn't the Alne stretch have some small ones also?

I'd go Upper Sev for sure, the assoc has a new stretch up that way I believe.

Caught loads of trout on the stick float and maggot last year at eardiston on the teme, had a couple to 2lb but averaged half to one pound

Re: Trout Water

Forden has a few trout and grayling and if you come across the bailiffs for that area they are really helpful and probably be able to put you on the best spots. Good luck and let us know how you got on

"What area would that be pal"
Pretty much anywhere with shallow well oxygenated water and a little cover.
I'm certainly not going to name sections or pegs because the lead and a worm brigade will turn up and clear them out in a weekend.
For grayling, you need to be above Bridgnorth.
I agree about the Teme but again, the fish are localised.
