I've been searching a few stretches of the severn & avon for zander with only a few missed bite so far ... can anyone recommend a good stretch to try ... thanks

You might get lucky on the Birds Meadow waters on the Lower Severn.

I've done a few sessions on the ripple section with just one missed bite for my efforts so far ... I'll keep at it

Birds or ripple, small frozen roach, 1/3 way across. Fishing as early as possible will help. Use your full allocation of an hour before sunset. Also Bredon or mythe farm. Same as severn but I generally fish the muddle of the river.

* middle, . I fished birds recently and caught 3 within a couple of hours and some pike.
