Wood Norton in particular needs some work on making pegs safe, just went up there for a recce and was talking to a chap who had gone in at the weekend when the area for a seat box etc, which was badly overgrown, had subsided and catapulted him into several feet of water. Chadbury in the woods is almost unfishable, only a couple of pegs, and Lower Moor could do with some reed maintenance for sure. Pity, as they all looked fishy. Will have to settle for somewhere a little more easy access. As a disabled angler it is a constant disappointment to turn up somewhere that sounds promising but is practically unsuitable, so I have to recce everywhere first. I appreciate the fisheries team can't be everywhere, but some of these places haven't been done in a good while.

Thats the problem with the Baa mate they have so much water its impossible to keep all the fishery's in A1 condition like Fladbury. I for one would like to see the Baa get rid of some of the less fished venues and spend the money on improving the others with access and pegs. Even if that meant subs increasing to get outside contractors in every now and then to repair pegs and make platforms fish able. Do you know what Breedon is like was planning a trip in the next week or so? Below the weir at Wick there are 4 pegs 2 up towards the weir and 2 pegs down stream bellow the boats the two down stream are very safe nice and flat

Agree Dave - been saying it for a while....£40 ain't enough!!! You pay £60+ just to fish one stretch....PF.

Put it up, 60, 70, even 80 quid, improve the existing venues, and hopefully the price increase would get rid of any scrotes/undesirable folk that inhabit BAA stretches in the summertime. (Less litter too).

Not so sure putting subs up is what the BAA is all about, it's roots are very much affordable Angling for everyone. I realise there are problems with access on some venues, but there is a lot of good pegs available that would satisfy the most demanding.

Bailiffs are more evident than in years past, but the problems BAA face is just the same that society faces, we as members could do a lot more by engaging any type of bad behaviour....with care of course, Any litter you see take home, yes I know it's humbling, but for the good.

Personally I don't mind seeing a few areas going 'fallow', it can help the river with these pockets of wildness, and is perfectly natural.

It's yours and my club, don't leave it for someone else to act, that's the beginning of the end.
