I have just seen the distressing sight of Swans that have contracted Avian Flu and dying.
The symptoms are recognised by the bird paddling around in circles!
It is a Notifiable Disease
If you witness such events in Swans or other Waterfowl while you are out fishing then call DEFRA
to inform them where the affected birds are.

I saw a dead one come floating down the L.Sev at the weekend. A few other of the LS crowd have seen dead swans also.
