Really chuffed to see the track down to Cleeve Prior/Stubbs Pool is being repaired. I've avoided going there for some time due to the state of the track. Had some good days on the river there a few years back. Though I've seen from posts on here that there's been problems with travellers also in this area. Anyone know if that's still an issue?

I fished Barton back in the summer and found their was no lock on the gate sad
Maybe a new lock has now been put on the gate ? Nice easy walk from the carpark
Its a nice stretch of the Avon smiling The only problem when I fished it a few times in the summer, Some of the platforms were in need of repair.
I did manage to catch a couple of barbelsmiling So hope fully I will return again.

I also fished Bidford right bank a few times in the summer. The problem with fishing there either on the lock island or down stream from the weir, Once you get to the river you have to get over an electric fence which can result in a painfull electric shock between the legs if you don't get it right when trying to climb over the fence. Apart from the island again very few fishable pegs.
