I'm a new BAA member from N Wales and would welcome some advice. We're staying in Bewdley for a week from Friday 24/2 and would like to know which BAA beats are best to fish on the river locally. I'm also a relative novice so any advice on baits and tactics would be very much appreciated. Knowing how helpful you lot are I'm sure there'll be lots of advice forthcoming! Thanks in advance. Graham W.

Re: Fishing near Bewdley.Hi,good advice from previous post,if the conditions are right you will catch barbel just depends on water temp on the day, any stretch from Bewdley to Bridgnorth.

Re: Fishing near Bewdley. Thanks to both of you very much for your replies. I know of the tackle shop in Bewdley so I will call in there. I understand what you're saying about the conditions so I will just have to keep my fingers crossed for reasonable weather. I'd love to catch a barbel, only ever caught two up to now but a nice roach or chub would not go amiss. Here's hoping!
