Visited the rh bank today first time in ages , and couldn't believe the amount of rubbish left by anglers.Tins of meat and plastic bags are everywhere. The Baliff on the opposite bank collected a black bin liner full from the kinver Freeliners water and easily could have filled one from the baa side. I collected as much as I could carry but it's your rubbish , TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU.

Re: Hampton loade

A common sight on the Middle Severn, more so in summertime though, the anglers that are currently fishing are the diehard serious types, the only thing they leave are footprints.

The stretch you mention suffers the misfortune of being right next to the Unicorn stretch and campsite though, which isn't a good thing given the standard of angler/human being that frequents the area, not all mind, but quite a few.

That area of the river is probably worse than anywhere else.

Re: Hampton loade

Re: Hampton loade

the baa baliffs do good job , but as are tackle free would be idea to issue them with litter picker an strong bag to help this problem , perhaps incorporate this in there role as a baliff !! then lets see how many baliffs drop out ??
I personally keep couple off charity bags at all times , bottom my rucksack good for this light an compact for storage for when needed . but a limit to how much I can take with my tackle . this is always something iv done for many years on all waters iv fished .
my view is little an often will halt any major build ups off excess rubbish !!!!!
come on baliffs take a pride in areas baliffed little an often , an enforce anglers with litter in there peg that they responsible whether theres or not .
to my mind any angler that leaves litter purposely lifetime ban .
