Afternoon,

I'm new here so I hope I'm not covering old ground or speaking out of turn. Forgive me if I am.

I was at Ladyham on the Severn yesterday and was quite surprised by the amount of burnt out barbecues, plastic bottles and even packaging from a pair of binoculars. I can't imagine this would be committed by BAA members so wonder whether it may be worth putting a padlock on the gate so that we can minimise the litter. What's the general thoughts on this?

Hi, unfortunately litter seems to be a national problem at the moment, more people spending time in the countryside during lockdown seems more litter, every time I walk my dogs along the canal I return with a bag of rubbish, mostly tins and bottles. If baa can stop non members accessing our fisheries so much the better, I'd like to think we anglers take ours home.
What's the parking situation at that venue?

There is a sort of turfy patch you may park on before the gates, but if the weather is good or you have a 4x4 it is possible to drive on to the field and park behind your peg. There's no excuse is there, when you can park behind your peg. If it fits in the tackle bag before you go, the wrapper should fit into it when we leave. As you say, I can't imagine it to be BAA anglers. Well, we'd certainly hope not...
