Fished the Avon at the mouth of the Arrow yesterday with my son. However, before we could start fishing we spent the first 10 minutes removing litter discarded in and around the peg. We also removed 6No. V shaped sticks stuck into the ground at the waters edge, presumed to be acting as impromptu bank sticks. Agmonst the discarded litter were night lights and tent pegs, and what looked like a deliberately removed part of a fishing platform to fuel the remains of a fire, which would all indicate camping and night fishing. Whilst we took the litter home, later on in the day we also found 2No. discarded chairs and a sun lounger, which we left at the top of the bank next to the telegraph pole. It's a real shame that such a beautiful river can be so disrespected and left in such a state.

Re: Litter at Salford Priors

It's a sorry state of society today that some people have no respect for others nor there surroundings, there's not many times I go out and don't bring someone else's rubbish back home with me! Night fishing usually means poaching from non members!!!!
