Hi guys. Some great comments there. It would also be a bonus if we got something constructive and forward thinking from one or more committee members, maybe regarding/including ;

1. An odd extra 2 person peg created for couples who like to fish together, particularly for couples who both can't swim (the wife);
2. One or two "paid" bailiffs, paid for with the night fishing permit monies, even if only part time ;
3. A midnight permit at a reduced cost (say £5) ;
4. A membership referendum on whether night fishing permits should be abolished and the cost of yearly membership increased accordingly if the bank balance is really the issue (or would this be too democratic for the club to consider ?).

On a final note, we drove over Holt Fleet bridge late last night and it reminded me of my younger days in Blackpool !! Think I might take a leaf out of Lee's book and look for a syndicate that allows night fishing as being an old codger, my poultry pension will definitely not stretch to BAA night permit prices.

Take care guys and happy fishing.
