Blue sky, no breeze, after an hour or so boaters. The canal at Tibberton is shallow and narrow, possibly better later in the year. Today mainly a small fish chase which when the boats arrived the bites generally ceased up. We had from the bridge at Tiibberton going up towards Oddingley with the final peg at the turning bay, Best weight was the first peg above the moored boats above the bridge.
1st - Colin Davis ... 4lb 8oz 12drms - roach, and rudd caught over on the bread punch in 1st hour followed by more small fish including a few small perch and very few gudgeon onn pinkie very light feeding through very small cad pot and a lot of patience that he was doing it right..
2nd Rod Turner 2lb 7oz 12 drams of roach and perch pegged towards turning bay catching on pinkie and maggot down middle of canal won Rod the section.
3rd Jerry Bartlett 2lb 4oz 12drms 2 pegs short of the turning bay (1 below Rod) A small skimmer, small roach, small rudd on maggot down mid canal.
4th John Swain 2lb 3oz 12drms 3 pegs short of turning bay small roach and rudd from over the far bank initially on bread punch followed by pinkie.
5th Howard Kitchen 2lb 1oz 2drms which won a section made up with one reasonable perch and smaller perch on chopped worm and caster with worm hookbait.
Harri Harrison 1lb 7oz 12drms small rudd and roach pinkie over and Russell Hollands 1lb 7oz of roah and rudd down centre of canal towards the bridge end. If your club has booked or thinking of booking the venue, suggest now school holidays are over boat traffic has to improve and a polite conversation with the 'Speed the Plough' public house just down the road could provide convenient parking and an after match conversation and soft drink !!!

Hello Mike,
Thank you for your very comprehensive report from your Contest at Tibberton.

Considering the boat traffic that is to be expected you had some fair weights.
Thanks for sharing the productive methods as it is always good to learn.

With most of the Canal venues parking is at a premium, so your tip about the local pub parking may be useful to other clubs fishing this venue.

Thanks again and

Keep on Fishing…
