Our second match of the season gave further encouragement that the fishing has improved since the dire results of the last 5 months of last season.
Although the Phosphate level remains extremely high and the river low and clear the river fished well. We had 13 out.
Keith - Peg 11 - 11-6-0 of qty Roach on pellet best 1-10-0.
Brian - Peg 4 - 9-6-0 Chub on maggot over ground bait
Frank (Peg 24) and Steve (Peg 21) - 6-5-0 joint third.
The winning catch was exceptional, a beautiful bag of quality Roach all caught on Pellet.
Best 1-10-0 with several around three quarters of a pound and all in superb condition.
An excellent match with lots of banter despite the rain.

So 13 fished in wet weather but your the first four weighed in 33lb of fish between them!
Great results, especially pleasing to know of the good size Roach that were caught, and thanks for sharing the methods used to catch such good fish.
