A decision was made on Thursday evening to switch the match from a full Avon to the Staffs canal, the Avon was probably fishable by Sunday but uncertain about the standings on the pegs we decided to play safe and switch the match.

1st Geoff Garrish 7 - 8 - 0 ( Pole fished caster accounted for Geoff having mainly roach and perch )

2nd Joint, Bob Evans 6 - 11 - 0 ( Roach and perch on maggot )
2nd Joint, Richie Panton 6 - 11 - 0 ( Roach on caster )

4th Sean Waite 6 - 0 - 0

5th Malcolm Merrick 5 - 3 - 0

Hi Ollie
What a great set of results from your Contest 31lb of fish from the top five weights!

Thanks for the feedback on the methods and baits that were successful this will help fellow dAnglers preparation before giving Greensforge and Hinksford a try
Keep fishing

Fished at Swindon last Friday with same species as listed but bream and skimmers were not obliging. Also fished the Avon at Barford yesterday and had a couple of good barbel and chub and a good bag of perch and roach. The river is running just above winter normal and dropping.
