Three of us gave field 5 at Severn Stoke a try last Saturday for river bream Wild weather!! Storm, thunder, lightning flying branches, the lot! Managed to get packed up just before getting wet. We had about 25 lbs of skimmers between us, only one bream about 3 lbs. Too bright and hot really, had to fine right down to red maggot on an 18 to keep bites coming. I also managed a 4 lb pike on dead bait. Must be the smallest pike on the section!
Highlight of the day was a 10-5 barbel.... Caught by someone else fishing between two of us. Great fish, well done. Ah well, better luck next time for us.
Also good to see BAA bailiffs cracking down on poaching, well done lads. Cheers all, Pete

Sounds like another good day out Pete your certainly catch plenty of fish this season.
