Of all the days to get a complete wash out it had to be on our match day Arrrrrrr
anyway 17 turned up on bank to fish the cut and with every one soaked before they even drew
it was going to be a long day.Now this match was a strange one, half the match was in gale force winds with rain and the other half calm flat water with rain which made the wides the worst area to fish yet the top weight came from there.Top rods on the day were J Burton and M Blackburn with an equal weight of 1-15-8 both fished pole as far as they could. Well done to them. here are the top 8 weights

1st J Burton M Blackburn 1-15-8 joint
3rd S Williams 1-13-2
4th T Truman 1-12-6
5th S Ryan 1-9-2
6th A Marsh R Fisher 1-8-8 Joint
8th D Boswell 1-7-4

15th D Wright 0-4-12 and 2 DNW

12 anglers braved the elements with high winds and heavy rain .we all decided to fish above weir to make it a more of an even match. Most opted to fish running line methods consisting of feeder, stick and bolo rods.River was clear but with pace and slightly up.Top rod on the day was Dave Bates who fed inside line on stick to weigh 9-7-0 all roach/perch.Red maggot and gb was the order of the day as most of the top weights were caught using these.here are the rest....

6th S Milton 4-12-0 Feeder
7th R John 4-8-0 Whip
