Fishing with a slider floatAfternoon everyone. Does anyone on here fish a sliding float on running water? I'm talking about venues on the Avon and Severn where depths are in excess of 12 foot. I always think that watching a float is far more enjoyable than staring at a quiver tip, and you get to cover more water. I've fished the sliding waggler before on deep lakes, but I've been trying to find a company that sell heavy balsa style floats with top and bottom rings. Anyone help with this?

Re: Severn Stoke pegsIts a thankless task trying to look after river stretches. I am a member of a small syndicate that has 3 meadows. The grass and weeds grow quicker than we can cut them, even worse in these wet conditions. Don't know how many miles of river we have in total but it would require 100 blokes working on a full time basis to keep every stretch accessible just in case someone MIGHT want to go a fish it. I think the volunteers who get out there and do what they can are doing an excellent job.
