Hi Guys

I started a thread round about last summer time about the otters on there. Didn't really have many replies. I think there are a couple of matches on there shortly so will be interesting if they comment on the match reports, if they indeed catch anything at all.

If anyone was to catch an otter on rod and line would they get to count it!!!!!!

I was asked last October on the Apley stretch of the Severn. Quite an official and pleasant chap who had all his documentation to prove he was a bailiff. Even gave me a few tips on the peg i was in. Would be nice to be asked more but especially with the size of the waters that the BAA covers I can imagine it being quite difficult to police them all.

KenL it's disappointing to say the least really

I tried to fish Retreat 4 days after I reported this but due to the lack of interest I didn't think anyone would be bothered to know what I saw, the fish scales around the pegs or how it fished. I know everyone pretty much prefers to fish the rivers as I do but Retreat is still one of our waters and is it better than we don't know if there are any fish left in a pool while we spent all day waiting for a bite that we won't get. I hoped someone would have at least replied or advised if they had seen something similar or encountered. Unless it's a double figure barbel I don't think many people are to bothered.

I'd say yes we can still fish as Wales have their own rules and for England it states

Outdoor exercise and recreation encouraged and is unlimited - only with your household/bubble, on your own or with one other person from a different household (golf is not allowed)
