Re: What is it?Caught Shad on the wye on Mepps, there is usually a run of them in May, they are member of herring family,have very boney mouth, and leap out of the water to try and shake the hook- they are brilliant sport, my friend foul hooked a barbel in its dorsal fin whilst spinning for Shad, it went off like a steam train

Re: Mease at NethersealHi,I’ve not fished netherseal,but harleston stretch is easier to park (lay-by) and fish,although very much a roving river - fished it early Oct and had perch a cast, previous posts made reference to large chub,but no longer present in any numbers. Lovely little river ,keep us posted,good luck

QuatfordAnyone know how quatford if fishing for barbel ? Thinking of having afternoon session tomorrow and have only ever fished arley for barbel,cheers

River stourFished it for first time last week, looked bang on with some cloud,but didn’t have a touch trying worm,maggots and bread. Went onto peg 1 and had brown trout about 1lb - anyone else finished it,as very strange session.
