Re: Manor Farm ParkingYea I understand what you are saying Dave I’ll see if something can be done to make people aware and try to get an update on wether it’s likely to be a permanent restriction or just temporary until the fisheries team can get down there to sort something more permanent.

Re: Manor Farm ParkingThe reason the signs are there is because people have been driving across the grass in 4x4 vehicles churning the ground up creating deep ruts causing members to get stuck and damaging their vehicles. So unfortunately for the majority of members who drive sensibly across there it has been spoilt by those ripping the ground up.Obviously at this time of year when the ground is firm and as its early in the season it’s not as bad but the fisheries team had no choice to close it off and restrict the parking until something more long term is sorted.

Re: quatfordThe peg right on the boundary between meadows 1 and 2 used to be a good peg.It was known as the “the muck hole” due to how muddy it always was. Then just downstream from that where it narrows up a bit you’ve got a peg that is known as “the stack”.Then if you’re prepared to walk a bit further down then one of the best pegs on the stretch is opposite the footbridge that’s on the brook section. But I’d travel light and try different pegs as I don’t think the Barbel are there in the numbers they used to be.
