Re: River TemeCotheridge is one of the last Teme stretches that still contains lumps, particularly towards the bottom end. Teme barbel seem to have shrunk in recent years, doubles are now like hens teeth whereas 20 years ago most stretches held some seriously big fish. Doddenham looks to have some potential, walked it the other day and there were some tidy looking chub milling around, bigger than average Teme stamp.

June 16thWhere's everyone off to then? I'm very tempted by the new Wye stretch, all depends on how much rain we get. Otherwise it will have to be somewhere on the right bank of the Severn that comes Highley recommended

Re: Bidford on Avon right bankTo be honest Steve it's not one of the better populated stretches, there are some barbel in the weirpool but only a couple of pegs on the island, and the fishy looking pegs below the weir island don't really produce. There are some boulders sticking out maybe 5 yards from the far bank, nothing really down the near channel. Barton weir is a better bet!

Re: Stacklands new Wye fisheryHad a trip down there to see what the stretch was like, typical middle Wye, but low and fairly sluggish at the bottom end, hopefully the weekend rain will kick things off. Deeper water on near bank at the bottom, couldn't see any larger chub from the bridge, few smaller ones in the weeds downstream of the bridge and a couple of sizeable perch in the margins. Very tempted for the 16th if we get some more rain first, early start though!!
