Re: BAA pools

Hi. I can only speak for Coppice, I used to fish it regularly as it's fairly local, mainly for carp, twice a week in the warmer months and now and then in the winter. In the colder months you could guarantee some silvers, that's why I went. However, a couple of years ago I went several times to fish for silvers and blanked, albeit it it was part iced over a couple of times.
My point is it's not what it used to be, have been a couple of times since and no joy. It seems pretty much it's all carp fishing there now, and I did plenty of that there, but has it gradually upset the balance as an all round fishery, i.e. if there isn't a boilie on the hook the fish don't want to know.
Rarely fish a pool now, the chuck and hook got boring but each to their own. far more interesting on the river.

Re: Footbridges

Or do as we did years ago, take just what you need and leave the kitchen sink and the trolley behind, can't believe the amount of stuff some people take these days. If you think you 'might need it' you probably don't need it. smiling smiling

Re: Stubbs

Haven't been for a long time and it was mainly carp then, the river next to it had some nice fish in it which I used to fish sometimes, chub, barbel etc. The track to the pool was a bit rough, would like to hear what state it is in now.
