Re: Barbel - servern/avon For what its worth , I caught my first Barbel upstream of Pershore bridges. Good parking not too many folk good access and lots of variation of current and depth...…. its got it all. I'm sorry for the tardy response. but, dont get on the site very often. My fishing buddy fancied that too .That is a shame . I would have taken the opportunity to learn from the local anglers and perhaps pick up a few tips along with any litter . I suppose that some members know it all and get some pleasure disparaging the efforts of folk Iike yourself that wish to improve things for the humble pleasure fisherman. It takes all sorts I suppose that is what forums are for .... so we can all learn from each other's experiences . What can we say is learnt from this sorry episode ?
